problem installing gkrellm I

I'm trying to install gkrellm on RH9. I have installed gtk+-2.0 as required by gkrellm. However when i do
Code:
make install
i have the foll error
Code:
Package gdk-x11-2.0-uninstalled was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Code:
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gdk-x11-2.0-unistalled.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
I have "libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0.200.1" but cannot find "gdk-x11-2.0-uninstalled".
I tried google but that did not help.
Kindly help me installing gkrellm.
gkrellm version 2.2.1
$PKG_CONFIG_PATH = /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/lib

There is gkrellm in rpm for RH, try to get it through apt-get (or synaptic) or download the rpm and install it.
