Problem installing Apache 2.0.47 RPM on Redhat 9
Hi, I want to upgrade my Apache 2.0.40 to 2.0.47. I downloaded the RPM from the Apache website and tried to install it but I received the following dependency errors:
error: Failed dependencies:
rc-scripts is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
/bin/id is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
/usr/bin/getgid is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
libcrypto.so.0.9.7 is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
libdb-4.1.so is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
libgdbm.so.3 is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
libssl.so.0.9.7 is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
perl-base >= 0:5.003 is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
db is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
perl-base is needed by apache-2.0.47-0.2
indexhtml is needed by (installed) lynx-2.8.5-11
What is the easiest way to go about getting the dependencies? I don't even know what packages provide them. (I tried doing up2date --whatprovides but it didn't return any results). Also I can just tell that some of the RPMs will depend on more RPMs. Any pointers on getting the Apache packaged installed without hair pulling will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
