Exclamation Problem in installing thunderbird on red hat linux

Hello friends
I'm using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 ; right now I've downloaded thunderbird tar-ball. Well then unpacked it in
directory correctly in root s home-directory. It is in /root . Now when try to install it by running

./thunderbird/thunderbird or ./thunderbird/thunderbird-bin : it gives error saying ./thunderbird-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libmozjs.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
No such file or directory

Also tried it with yum; but it also gives error
so is there any way to get the thing running?

Do you have the libmozjs.so library on your system? Type locate libmozjs.so to check. If it is missing the package xulrunner provides libmozjs.so.

'./thunderbird/thunderbird will probably not work.

Instead do 'cd thunderbird' and then './thunderbird'
....

Suggest : link the script 'thunderbird' inside thunderbird/
to /usr/local/bin/ , then it is in your path.
....

/root/ is not meant for packages. Should be used for nothing.
Please use /home/"user", /usr/local/ or /opt/
....

Since RHEL comes with support from RH, why not call them? That is what you are paying for.
