The system may load and run just fine, but the display not work. In this case there are options.
You may be able to access one of the tty terminals using ALT-F3 (as one example) to get a curses (non-GUI) session.
You may be able to use a terminal (serial or USB based) if you have one handy.
You may be able to ssh into that node from another IFF you have sshd set up and listening.
If nothing else, you can take your Ventoy USB thumbdrive and plug it in and load one of your live-cd images of Linux. From that session you may be able to revert the driver update or make other changes to allow more normal sessions on reboot to aid in your recovery.
Attempting to install a proprietary NVidia driver can destroy your ability to use the FOSS drivers that support your GPU. You may need to find the installation instructions used for installing NVidia's driver and attempt to remove any portion of them that remain, including /etc/X11/xorg.conf if it exists, and any files affecting graphics in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ if they exist. Also check for blacklisting of nouveau in /etc/mod* and /etc/default/grub, and remove any found. As wpeckham explains, you may have a working system, just not for your expected Lubuntu LXQt GUI desktop. You should be able to make these adjustments as he suggested.
