Power saving issue.

I've checked just about every monitor and power saving app imaginable, and for some reason my screen insists on blanking every 5 minutes. I use my laptop (Debian) to chat and surf the web while Im full screen on my desktop, and I'm rather tired of missing things because the screen blanks. Is there a global sort of command I can use to keep the screen from blanking ever?

If it helps, I'm running debian, using KDE.
Thanks in advance.

For kde (pre kde 4.x...not sure about that), if you go into screensavers, you can set the time after which the screensaver kicks in.

Its probably something like:

settings > appearance and themes > screen savers

but distros sometime mess about with that a bit.
