Podcast DL softwear

Hi people just a quick question.

What programs people use to automatically download podcasts such as the one for LQradio etc. I have been looking but there was not that much information available and any ms versions that seem to be decent are not ported to linux.

I came across this page http://www.podcastalley.com/podcast_software.php
and tried ipodder on the sourceforge.org site but I had a conflict with samba (suse 9.2) and wasn't sure how important this was to my system.

There is one specific program that I am interested in as it sound very simple and is comand line based Podcatcher. Has anyone used this program? Would I need to download the ruby libraries as stated? Does anyone know if they are currently part of the SuSe 9.2 distro?

Sorry if there are alot of questions in this post hope someone can help

If you want something simple that "just works", i recommend you take a look at bashpodder.
