Thumbs up PLease help me


Hi friends
I am using fedora core 4 in my intel p4 (2.8 gz) with intel motherboard machine. My sound card was disabled initially( I am using onboard soundcard), but when I enabled sound card, the machine failed to boot (It stops when initializing hardware). Can somebody
help me. Thanks in advance.

any error messages?
what stage of booting does it fail at?

What kind of soundcard?
How did you go about enabling it?
In what way "fail to boot"? At what stage? Any messages or did it just explode?

Probably best to boot to rescue mode (from GRUB or the install CD) and enter "lspci -vv" and copy down the details about your soundcard exactly. Then post them here.
