Please help getting KeePass2 in 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish clean install

Edit: I was able to install the KeePass2 through
Code:
sudo apt install keepass2
but it is version 2.47 (version 2.53 is available). Any idea on how to get the latest version?

It's for a Desktop computer and Xubuntu is the distro.

This used to work for me: https://launchpad.net/~jtaylor/+archive/ubuntu/keepass

Specifically this:

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jtaylor/keepass
But it doesn't work now.

I went to KeePass and it has a link for Debian/Ubuntu https://sourceforge.net/p/keepass/di...read/17d1bd26/

I followed that link to https://sourceforge.net/p/keepass/di...read/17d1bd26/

but didn't know what to do there.

Can somebody please tell me how to get it?

Thanks.

You might want to take a look at keepassxc as an alternative. It should be in the repos.

Hi Frank. Long time on see. I checked the KeePassXC and it looks good. I'm not up for spending any more time though (spent the whole day on a clean install today). But I may use it because I'm having a problem with KeePass2.

Quesiton: Will the data in KeePass2 transfer easily into KeePassXC?
