Question Please HELP!


HI PEOPLE, THIS IS MY FIRST POST - I CANNOT INSTALL SLACKWARE 10.2 FOR ANYTHING, THE ONLY OTHER DISTRO
(UNIX) THAT HAS GIVEN ME THIS MUCH TROUBLE WAS SOLARIS 10. NO MATTER WHAT I DO, THE INSTALL BRINGS ME AROUND IN CIRCLES. IS THERE A BOOK THAT WILL TAKE ME THROUGH THE INSTALL STEP BY STEP? i CURRENTLY HAVE SUSE 10.1 AND WINDOWS XP ON A 80 G HD, IT'S A BRAND NEW COMPUTER CUSTOM BUILT. ANYWAYS I'M JUST ABOUT READY TO TOSS SLACK OUT THE WINDOW, AND I REALLY DON'T LIKE UBUNTU,SUSE,I REALLY WANT TO INSTALL SLACK, CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...g.

Please use better thread titles.

Please don't write whole posts in capitals, as it looks like you're shouting.

You need to tell us exactly what you mean by, "the install brings me round in circles". We can't help you unless we know what the problem is. Also, 11.0 is the latest stable version of Slack, so you'll probably want to install that rather than 10.2.
