Unhappy Picture _and_Sound _not_in_Sync_in_TVTIME

Hi,

No matter which Tv application I use, be it tvtime, xawtv or xdtv . the sound is ahead of the picture (not in sync) aka there lips move before they open there mouths.

when Playing videos thats not a problem though.

I figured It has something to do with Video acceleration, xvid or some setting in tvtime, xdtv or xawtv . please Correct me if am wrong.
----

also after I use mplayer or its front ends the picture in all multimedia applications ( tvtime, vlc, xdtv even mplayer ) starts bleeding aka too bright. untill I reboot.

ANY HELP WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATTED.

J
