have already installed apache with DSO support and
was configuing and installing php. PHP configured alright and then make was ok but during make install it returned an error and kicked out .
any help appreciated.

I have since uninstalled/removed both php and apache and tried again using the latest versions of both php and apache. Apache installed alright configured for module, but php aborted during the make again with the same error.
Any help sorting this out would be appreciated
