PHP 4.3.1 Make Error with MYSQL


I am trying to make PHP 4.31 and have mySQL 4.1 already installed and working with my old PHP version before I started this upgrade. When I do the make I get

ext/mysql/libmysql/my_malloc.lo(.text+0xde): In function `my_malloc':
/root/apache2.0.45/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/libmysql/my_malloc.c:24: undefined reference to `errno'
ext/mysql/libmysql/my_realloc.lo(.text+0xd5): In function `my_realloc':
/root/apache2.0.45/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/libmysql/my_realloc.c:44: undefined reference to `errno'
ext/mysql/libmysql/my_delete.lo(.text+0x86): In function `my_delete':
/root/apache2.0.45/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/libmysql/my_delete.c:16: undefined reference to `errno'
ext/mysql/libmysql/my_tempnam.lo(.text+0x89):/root/apache2.0.45/php-4.3.1/ext/mysql/libmysql/my_tempnam.c:108: more undefined references to `errno' follow
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [sapi/cli/php] Error 1

Any ideas?

yeah man i am having the SAME problem. i posted on here too, but no luck just yet. i'll let you know what i find out, and you do the same ok?

I remember having a MySQL related PHP compile failure with MySQL 4.x. Turned out the cause of my problem was relying on PHP's built in MySQL support, so I included the dir to my actual MySQL version and it worked fine.
