Perl Problem


Ok really stupid question. I have a Mandrake 8.2 Machine and I need to upgrade perl but when I go to install the rpms I get a load of text saging that first files are there that cant be installed over then saying that other files are dependet on the files. Is there a way to force the upgrade

how about telling us what your doing to get these errors? normally running "rpm -Uvh blah.rpm" will upgrade rather than install which is obiovusly preferable here
