How to I boot into the setup instead of getting to the OS...

If i comprehend ur question.....ummmm....you should just boot from the CD...

Tell me i assumed wrong

yeah but do you have to hit esc to get into the setup?

Linux distro's are usually being installed from bootable cd-roms.

But all you need to do is, create the cd, insert the disk in your drive, and reboot the computer.

You might need to change the boot-sequence in your bios. The bios tries to locate a boot program somewhere. (suck as your floppy disk, hard drive, or cd-rom drive)
