Opera Flickers in Full Screen... How Do I Stop This?

When I'm in full screen in Opera, my screen flickers when I right click anywhere on a webpage... any suggestions on how to stop this? It's annoying.

Check your video card configuration. Make certain that it is running in interlaced mode.

Beyond that, I can only suggest that your read XFree86 Video Timings HOWTO. Pay particular attention to section 13. Even though the document refers to XFree86, the concepts still apply to Xorg.

bigrigdriver, thanks for the reply. I got a question for you... where do I find interlace mode? When I go to System>Preferences>Screen Resolution, I don't see that as an option on my Ubuntu 7.10. Any suggestions?

I don't know what kind of tools Ubuntu supplies for configuring hardware. But that is what you have to use. Specifically, look at graphics card configuration.
