Open Source Media Player

Hi,

I'm looking for a media player (open source) which will play all or most video files. I'm running on Mandrake 10.1 KDE. Any suggestions???

Hey jason, you should try Linuxsoftware.cz (select English in the top right hand corner, english flag)

and look throught there.

Install apt-get.
Setup repositories, ex
Then apt-get install mplayer.

Mandrake uses urpmi by default and not apt-get. Setup the plf rpm repositories using the instructions from easyurpmi and then do as root "urpmi mplayer".
