Hello, I am looking for an open source alternative to Symantec's Control Compliance Suite (CCS). I'd like to be able to automate the compliance process for SOX auditing and reporting. For instance, I'd like to run scheduled audits of Active Directory security policies, AD group memberships, permissions to sensitive files on Windows servers, audit administrator access on Windows and Linux... There was an older program called Bindview that was purchased by Symantec and rolled into the CCS. I am wondering if there are any open source apps that are similar to this. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I recall some news story in the last months about some tool for this sort of thing. However the name (and pretty much all other details) elude me at present.
