NTPD Terminated with "Floating Point Exception"

Hi,

I have compiled the ntp4.2.4p4 in "ubuntu 12.04 LTS", after successfull compilation copied the NTPD & ntpq with required libraries into flash card running with linux kernel 3.0.1, when i try to run the ntpd with ./NTPD it's terminated with "Floating Point Exception". But the same packages is working when compiled in Redhat 4. Kindly advice is this related with library file issue or any other issue.

(Note: Using ldd ntpd and ldd ntpq copied all the library file into target pc (linux kernel 3.0.1 ).

Please suggest how to solve the "Floating Point Exception" issue.

thanks
prab

copying will not mean that those libs will be used. Probably you need to check ldd on the target.

Thankyou very much for your info and yes you are correct, This issue is pure library file issue. I removed all the old library file and copied the new files which was checked by "ldd ntpd" command and run the exe. It's worked. The issue is solved.
