Why are you using Redhat 9. This is an extremly old version of Linux, having been released in about 2002 and support being discontinued in 2004. You should not use it, especially for a server (which it obviously is, as you don't need sendmail on a desktop). I strongly suggest that you upgrade to a more recent, supported version of Linux. If you like Redhat, then try Centos or Fedora. Alternativly, Debian, Ubuntu, Suse or Slackware are all good on servers.
Having said that, what have you already tried? Have you read the documentation for configuring sendmail? Do you get any errors? What isn't working?
