no video in mplayer after kernel upgrade to 2.6
On a relatively stock Slackware 10 system, I was using a 2.4.26 kernel that I had compiled the same day Slackware 10 was released. mplayer worked great and would play all videos that I threw at it because I compiled in support for almost all audio/video codecs.
I decided to upgrade my kernel to 2.6.7, configured it, installed it, and it is working great. The newest nvidia drivers are installed and work great also. However, I soon noticed that no videos would play correctly in mplayer or xine anymore. The audio works fine, but all video is just black.
What I have tried so far is to completely remove all codecs, and an uninstall of mplayer, then put the codecs back, ldconfig, and re-compile mplayer. However, this didn't fix anything and there is still no video. Anyone have any idea what is going on?
Oh, by the way, there are no unusual errors.
