Smile NFS Logging

Hi all, we use NFS for share folders between two linux servers. I need to know where and how I can log the NFS connections and errors.
I need it, because I think maybe NFS raise the maximun connections and one application fails.

Thanks a lot.

Check out the nfsstat command. Type "man nfsstat" to see its capabilities.

Thanks for your answer. But is there any log of NFS formatted like httpd.conf?
Thank you.

There is no log for NFS itself (except what appears in your /var/log/messages) generally. You might be able to get more detail by modifying your syslog configuration. Type "man syslog.conf" and "man syslogd" for more information on how to setup logging.

Alternatively, for automount there a -v and -d options for verbose and debug message logging. If this is an automount filesystem (or if you want to take it out of fstab and put it in automount) you might get the level of detail you want by using those options. Type "man automount" for more details on how to do this.
