newbie here....question about installing PYSOL


I downloaded PYSOL and I have Red HAT 9.0. I can't get it to install. I am Windows depentent and am trying to make the change to Linux. Please help me to get this up and running. Thank you.

what have you tried? did you download the .rpm or the .tar.gz? we are not mind readers here

you should be able to just click on the .rpm file and whatever package manager dedrat uses will start and install it for you. or you can itnstall it at the command line with rpm -ivh <complete file name>

problem

[root@LongIsland pysolfile]# rpm -ivh pysol-4.81-1.i686.rpm

tkinter is needed by pysol-4.81-1
[root@LongIsland pysolfile]#


What do I do now??

you'll have to install tkinter first,

newbie alert

I tried but I can't seem to install it. PLease Help...I am a newbie....I figured out the python...(I think) but I need a hand on doing this. Thank you
