new server

Hi all,

I thinking of installing Linux software to a Dell PC (NEW ISHH)

I like to make it a server, inew to working with server should i do it or not?

where would be the best place to get the server software

You question is very general - is there something specific that you want to do with the server? What model is the Dell PC?

I have Slackware Linux with Oracle 10g running on a Dell Optiplex in a test lab and it does a good job.
