New Kernel -> Can't read device /dev/hda
Hi,
So I just compiled a new kernel with the 2.6.9 sources on my ubuntu system (5.04). And for some reason, on boot up, it says
device mapper: error adding target to table
device mapper: dm-linear: device lookup failed
about 5 times. All partitions on /dev/hda are no longer readable when booting up under this kernel. There is a fat32 one, and a freeBSD UFS. The system is on /dev/hdb, and the ntfs partition located on it is still readable.
Any ideas? I'm totally lost
-thanks
