(NeverMind) LuckyBackup Question

Does LuckyBackup use different syntax when running commands?

When I go to

Modify>
Task Properties>
Advanced>
Also Execute>
Add

I'm entering a command to use clamav to scan my opera directory before copying .opera to an external drive.

clamscan -r -i /home/user/.opera > /home/user/clamscan_opera

The output shows in LuckyBackup's window. But, home/user/clamscan_opera is blank.

The command works fine from terminal. The output writes to home/user/clamscan_opera from terminal.

I haven't been able to find anything that indicates that I need to use different syntax for commands run from within LB.

Using >> doesn't work, either. It also doesn't work with /.mozilla.

This is the error message:
WARNING: Can't access file >> >>: No such file or directory WARNING: Can't access file /home/joegumbo/clamscan_mozilla /home/joegumbo/clamscan_mozilla: No such file or directory

/home/joegumbo/clamscan_mozilla DOES exist. Even if it didn't, shouldn't it be created once the command is run?

Thanks!

I'm going try to use cron to execute a script I wrote.

It would have been nice to have everything run through LuckyBackup. That way, I would have had one central location for everything relating to backup.

I'll do some stuff with LB, and some with a script run through cron.

Thanks anyhow

(Of course if someone does come up with a solution, I'll use it )
