Need to connect to Net-op hosts
Title says it all really,
Need to be able to connect to a PC that has net-op on it. The owner doesn't want to use anything else, despite my trying to convince him otherwise.
Anyone know of any way to do this. Google returns very few suggestions other than getting Net-op for Linux and I have downloaded the 30 day trial, but my OS is 64 bit and despite what they say on their website, I can't find a 64bit version for Linux.
Would prefer some sort of FOSS solution if possible.
"Bumping" the thread like this decreases the visibility of your post, once enough people (by which I mean about 15) people have posted anywhere in the forum: your post will have disappeared off the zero-reply list, so the only way to find it will be to browse the forums directly.
In any event, looks like netop uses a proprietary protocol. It appears to be free to use on iOS, but other than that you're out of luck for free-gratis, and you have no chance of free-libre as far as I can tell.
There are FOSS alternatives, but none that I can find which will work with netop. Unless you can pry your client/user away from netop, then you'll just have to buy it, I think...

Wasn't to get it bumped. (Would have used 'bump' for that)
Just got the guy pestering me. It's what comes of trying to do a favour for a family member the other side of the country.
He has a small company using Win2003 server a 4 WinXP clients on which he has net-op and wants some work doing on his client boxes. I said I help him by dialling in only to discover he only has net-op and nothing else.
The IT company he uses went under just after Xmas so no luck getting them in.
Anyway, enough of my problems, I'm sure I'll find a way round it.
