Hi there, just another Linux newb still in the learning process. Im sure there are manny of us out there that are new to this world. But anyways, my question is this: "How to execute the 'Setup.exe' in Linux. Im trying to instal Quake3Arena as a test to instal and configure correctly in linux. Getting OpenGL and everything to work will be a challange or just a small project for me 'a linux newb'. So if you know the answer to this, plz reply. Thx again.

"Setup.exe" is not going to run in Linux unless it's run within a Windows-like environment such as Wine.

You would need to have Wine or WineX installed to execute a Windows binary under Linux. But for Quake 3 Arena, you should not need to, because Id Software provides a native Linux binary to run the game.

This how to might help you: linuX-gamers.net - your linux gaming resource - How-Tos - Quake 3 Arena-HowTo. I'm sure there are others, as well.

Have fun!
