Unhappy Need help!


Hi, i am a noob in linux and i need help on Everything! What does par, var and all that stuff ending in ar mean? okokok, now, i am running dualboot with win-xp and mandrakelinux 10.x (?) and i need to know where anything i install with tar.gz goes.

locate, whereis, find

you can use these to find files/applications. You should use google to find a mandrake forum and documentation. It is probably included on the CDs you may have used to install it.

its easier to use the default package manager of mandrake which is urpmi ( mandrake control center -> package manager )
