Question Navigation through terminal while installing python based app

So i am installing a software, i navigated to its directory and typed "sudo sh install.sh" to install it , then it worked and asked me to choose one of the variants:

[1] install for linux
[0] exit

so i dont understand i typed 1, and 0 but it said that command is invalid. what should i do?

If you typed both 1 and 0, the selection is indeed invalid. The install script wants one or the other, but not both. If your platform is Linux, just type 1.

You also probably need to type "1" then "enter"
