Nautilus - "automatic updating" of directory contents

I used Nautilus back when I still used Gnome, and now I am using Fluxbox, and running nautilus --no-desktop to start it. One thing that I notice that is different, though, is that the directory's contents no longer update automatically, like when I download a file for instance. The new file won't appear in Nautilus without refreshing. Is there a way to get this to happen when using the --no-desktop argument to start Nautilus? I have looked in the Preferences menu and have found nothing.
