named-checkzone not working on Centos 5.3 in chroot-ed enviroment?

Hi guys,
I'm just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Is it something wrong with the program or am I just too tired tonight for administration of my DNS

Basically, I was just about to check the syntax of my zones.
I'm running a virtual CentOS 5.3 server with latest Bind chrooted in /var/named/chroot directory.

The actual zone files are placed in (absolute path) /var/named/chroot/var/named/

So, when standing in that directory, I execute

named-checkzone -t /var/named/chroot <zone-file>

It just won't work! It keeps printing "Usage:" lines like I'm doing something wrong.

If I use named-checkconfig in the same way, on the other hand, I get no problems at all.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You have to specify also the zone name:
Code:
named-checkzone -t /var/named/chroot domain.com /var/named/<zone-file>
Regards
