Mythtv and yum

Apologies if this has already been covered. Just ignore me if it has.
I am trying to use yum to install mythtv without all of the hassle of manually finding the packages.
I am using FC3 and 2.6.11 kernel (and am starting to regret it).
Right here is what I am doing.
First I found a ready made yum.conf file on the web which lets me use atrpms, freshrpms, and so on.
Yum is working fine.
So I type:
Code:
yum install myth-tvsuite
It finds all of the packages ok and starts processing the dependencies, this takes 6 hours. When I get to the end of this wait I get messages telling me that libraw1394.so.5 and librom1394.so.0 are missing and required. The problem I have with this is that at least libraw1394 is there. At least they are reported as installed if I try to reinstall them, and there appear to be files present with those names since these are firewire packages required by KDE and I have done this all from a clean install with KDE running fine, what can I do now??

I had similar problems with ATrpms and I got no response from Axel Thimm on this. Thus, I ripped out all of the ATrpms and I am looking for another way of doing this.

Good Luck in trying to make this work,
John

Oh should have said, I was trying to use FC3 64.
I had endless problems getting anywhere with mythtv.
I switched to FC3 and was thus able to use apt-get instead of rpm.
I followed Jarod Wilsons guide and now I have a working myth box.
