I can't see how yahoo would be slow and other search engines are fast... if that is the case, its nothing to do with your computer... maybe Yahoo are experiencing some difficulties currently? thats the only logical thing i can think of....
you could try disabling IPV6 in your web browser... it will speed things up overall in your browser... if you are using firefox
