MPlayer with GUI (gmplayer) help installing slackware 10.2!
I have tried everything changing config files, everything I can think of, and I finally got gmplayer to do something, but after that it stops. Here's what is does:
root@localhost:~# gmplayer
MPlayer 1.0pre7try2-3.3.6 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team
CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Athlon 4 /Athlon MP/XP Palomino (Family: 6, Stepping: 2)
Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE
vo: X11 running at 1280x1024 with depth 24 and 32 bpp (":0.0" => local display)
and then nothing. Can anyone help me out? I'm a bit of a noob to Linux. Also, how would I go about completely uninstalling mplayer??
None of the solutions in that thread worked, I should also note that when I close the terminal window where I start gmplayer, I get a box that says: Fatal Error! Mplayer interrupted by signal 1 in module: unknown
Then it says: Fatal Error! - MPlayer crashed, this shouldn't happen. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version, if you think it's MPlayer's fault please read etc...
