is there a way i can do opposite of -quiet option in mplayer?

You can set the verbosity of individual modules using the
msglevel flag. So for example, to display only the frame status as you want:
Code:
mplayer -msglevel all=0:statusline=5 file.mp4

The original
mplayer does not seem to support modifier key bindings under Linux. There are forks such as
mplayer2 that do (the syntax there is, for example 'ALT+a').
