mplayer plugin

hi
i try to install mplayer plugin using ./configure, but it can can't find mozilla plugins and firefox plugins, even though i already have firefox and mozilla installed.
is there something that i'm missing?

i want to use this plugin because i'm hoping that this plugin can support streaming of .mov

Thank you

Same as mine and it installed fine. Are you installing as root?

Hello
I think the three first lines are just warnings not errors.
The real problem is:
Quote:
configure: error: Unable to find mozilla or firefox development files
You have some development packages missing, you must search for them and install them before trying to compile the MPlayer plugins.
On my machine I had to install the mozilla-devel package.
Do that and it should work.

If you don't solve this issue, then you can get an extension for Firefox which is called "MediaPlayer Connectivity".
It let's you choose which player you want to use to open webstreams in Firefox.

But there is a downside with it. It wont show the video in the browser. It will only open up for example Mplayer and play it there.
But I don't see that as a problem.

i didn't think slackware had a mozilla-devel unless your trying to build for a rpm or deb distro. just use the gecko sdk
