My mplayer is doing really strange. Video and sound works perfect but I get an error message that flashes really fast. In the console I get the same message:

And so on and so forth...

I only have this problem when I type gmplayer. mplayer works perfectly!

I've already tried to modify /etc/asound.conf, but the next time I boot my audio device doesn't work anymore...

Anyone an idea?

I had the same problem and changing to an even newer version (cvs) of Mplayer solved it. Seems as it is a known bug in one of the pre5rc* versions that has been solved in the newest version.

how does cvs work? I just installed cvs with yum but don't know how to use it.
