mp4's made with mencoder have incorrect gamma, brightness, contrast. What vals fix?
I'm creating x264 mp4s using mencoder. While they look pretty clean and are of a very manageable size on disk, they always come out considerably darker than the source material (my source is a sequence of images).
I've been experimenting with various gamma, brightness, and contrast options. I've gotten pretty close, but wonder if this is a known issue with known correction values or maybe if someone else has experimented and found numbers that work.
So far, the closes I've gotten is:
gamma 0.9
contrast 0.9
brightness 0.05
.. but it's still just a bit off.
anyone know the actual correct (or closest to correct) values?
Thanks
