Unhappy mozilla fire fox 1.0 installation error

Hey guys and girls,
I'm new to Linux and I don't know what to do. I'm trying to install Fire Fox Mozilla 1.0 on Red Hat Linux 8.0. When doing so I keep getting a fatal error message. " fatal error [-618] couldn't open xoistub library. Could someone walk me threw the installation I don't know what I have to do?!

Using such an older distro, your most likely going to run into dependency issues galore.

The best thing you can do if you don't want to upgrade your distro to a newer version is to google each lib it complains about, find the package its with and either install or upgrade the package, etc.

Try going to http://fedora.redhat.com . A 'distro' is a version of Linux. The newest one out is Fedora Core 3, which is basically the free Red Hat Linux. I'm using that.

Dependancies are files needed to install and run something. You'll learn how annoying that can be, unless they're on Yum. Just so you know, I installed Firefox in a different way, with an RPM package (all of the files needed to run it) instead of the installer from their website.
