Dear friends,

I tried to mount a folder from windows 2k3 server but failed to, the folder was successfully mounted through the command.

mount -t smbfs //192.168.1.1/folder /mnt/windows -o username=guest,passwd=xxx

the mount was ok, no error. but when I accessed the folder it says:

Permission denied

If i mount similar folders from other Win2k3 servers it is ok. Is this the win2k3 server fault or my linux machine fault....

pls help me....the error message is too short just permission denied. How to source its problem...

I think this is impossible to answer without getting detailed specifications concerning the permission (etc.) settings on all three (!) systems, that is, windows, linux, and samba (note that samba acts mostly as an [in]dependent third system!). Then, when you have gone through all that, I think you will figure out the solution on the fly! Good luck!
