Where could I find mother board monitor for linux? Or does slackware 10 have some kind of a monitor as build in ? I'm a rookie so would you please be specific.
if you have acpi enabled (# dmesg | grep acpi) you can find information from the acpi subsystem (like cpu-temp) in /proc/acpi/... . you can also use the sensors from the sm-bus with the propper lmsensors settings.
maybe you don't have to care about this as it may allready be set up fine for you.
like mentioned above gkrellm has a plugin to view those. there maybe are other applets and programs on your system you can also use.
