MDADM - add disk by UUID


I can't find a straight answer on this-

How do you add a disk or partition to a MDADM managed array by UUID (NOT disk-id).

Try using /dev/disk/by-uuid and /dev/disk/by-partuuid links

Yes, something like that. Not sure about the trailing @ though, it shouldn't be there. Are you using some GUI file manager? Note that MBR partitions don't support uuids, udev generates fake SSSSSSSS-PP uuids from disk signature and partition number - just like the one in your example. They should be unique too, but less so than true GPT uuids.
