Mandrake Log On "Problem"

When i boot up my system it runs through the installl and then goes straight to a "command line"-like screen which asks me to log on. So i log on and its all good, i can do command line stuff (only basic mind cos I'm a newbie) but From here, if i want to get to the normal GUI how do i do this?

any ideas??

cheers

The startx command will launch X (the GUI environment). If you want a graphical login at boot then there is probably an option in the Mandrake Control Center however all you should need to do is edit (as root) the file /etc/inittab and change the line:
Code:
id:3:initdefault:
to:
Code:
id:5:initdefault:
