Make VOIP call

Hi all,

I need a voip tool for linux(fedora12). Any voip tool available for linux, if possible please tell me the step by step install/config.

my os details :
Linux maniannam-server 2.6.31.9-174.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Mon Dec 21 06:04:56 UTC 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

With video: Qutecom, Ekiga. (Skype, ugh, I hate it).

Check your repos.

I have used Ekiga with good results.

There are good instructions on how to set it up at the website. I know of a number of others who also use it quite happily (sigh--no one ever calls me, boo-hoo).

It will require opening the correct ports in your firewall and, depending on your router setup, may require mucking about with the router's port settings.

Ekiga has an echo test link you can use to verify that you are getting out and that outsiders can get it.

I like Ekiga but have been known, on rare occasion, to use Skype.

You can sign up for a free account at ekiga, which is what you should do with ekiga.
