make error

Trying to make lineakd, I get:

Can't locate object method "path" via package "Autom4te::Request" at /usr/bin/autom4te line 81.
autoheader: /usr/bin/autom4te failed with exit status: 1
make: *** [config.h.in] Error 1

I have autoconf, and thus autom4te exists. I don't really know what it is saying the problem is.

Maybe it requires the last version. Try to download autoconf 2.59 and try again.
I had the samo problem trying to build "showing" from kde-apps

maybe automake?, they were made to go side by side
