1:firstly i extract it on desktop
2:Then use cd command and go to extracted folder
3:To install that package i use
sudo make install
Then i got a error message
"make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop."
please help me to fix this .and tell how to install tar.gz
Did you read the instructions that came with the file?? There are no 'rules' to a .tar.gz file...each one is different, and 99.9% of them come with instructions. Read them.
Also, you never bother to follow up or post any replies to any question here, on ANY of your posts thus far. If you're not going to participate, why should we help you?
Amrit;
Repeating the point from TBone, I don't know why you think that you can keep posting threads here and then never respond to requests for more information, or post ANY kind of follow-up.
I sent you several e-mails on this issue with no response.
I advise all LQ members to not attempt to help you until you change your behavior.
I'm thinking that the reason amrit doesn't follow up on his postings could be because he might not know where the "My Threads" link under "My LQ" is on this page. It took me awhile to find it myself. I think it needs to be placed in an easier to find location on this page instead of way down the right-hand column.
Anyways, even though this thread is old, that's my 2 cents worth.
