Magic Jack and Twinkle softphone

This is pretty vague, but I am hoping someone could help me try and get my softphone configured to use with my magicjack service. I have read a little about needing sip credentials, and proxy IP's. A lot of this is a bit over my head. I am trying to use Twinkle. I have my E(number)01 and user name and password (assuming it is the one I set up with magicjack). Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance

There's a magic jack forum.
I advise that you are careful of any directions there.
Use a livecd to test any solutions.

I have tried and tried, based on information found on the magicjack unofficial forum. Apparently some had it working in the past, but no longer. It seems magicjack did something to secure it recently...always says "permission denied" every which way I have tried it. I even tried loading the software installed in Windows, with Wine...said same thing (above).
