I have an issue where a new Fedora system was built to replace an old one. The old disk of the system that no longer exists has been plugged into the new system. I need to be able to mount the LVM disk and start copying data off of it.
Code:
Disk /dev/sdb: 279.4 GiB, 300000000000 bytes, 585937500 sectors
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disklabel type: dos
Disk identifier: 0x56s6e569
Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type
/dev/sdb1 2048 585936895 585934848 279.4G 8e Linux LVM
I've worked with LVM extensively over the years, and this sounds like a fairly simple task. However, it wasn't possible to manually export any volumes off the old system. I also don't know the names of what the original volume groups were. I've tried various pvscan, pvdisplay, etc... commands trying to get into this disk, but so far no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks
