Since I have lost my win xp disk, I need to install an O.S on a couple of low speck PCs, my mint 1.9 distro keeps crashing the cinemon when trying to install so no good
I though if I had a few different O.S to chose from I could burn them all on to on DVD and hope that one of them will actully work
Any ideas please on where to go
Otherwise it means ordering another piret xp disk off feebay and weighting after the weekend
Cheers

Look through Distrowatch - there are hundreds to choose from. I think there are threads here that talk about for low-spec machines as well. Cinnamon is a full 3D rendered desktop and not a good choice for low end hardware.

You *STILL* do not have "mint 1.9"...there isn't and never was a Mint 1.9 release. You have Mint 19, as you've been told several times. You don't post the specs of the PC's in question, or tell us anything about them, so there is little we can tell you. If you did a basic search on this site, such questions have been asked and answered HUNDREDS of times previously, and there's even a sticky post about it: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ro-4175623119/
If you're not going to pay attention to what you've been told in the past, take advice given, provide details, or even do any basic research, why bother posting??
Lightweight distros, AntiX, SliTaz, Tiny Core Linux, these are what I usually recommend for old machines.
Do you know where I can download a copy please?

intresting to see how it says
Don't give up on Linux because the first distro you try doesn't boot. Try another distro until you find one that boots and go from there.

I typed the 3 OS listed above into the search bar of distro watch
distros says its a 64bit so no good
antiX says it a live OS, so presuming runns off off a CD only so no good
And Tiny core, well as i said the site is just to much and i cant even find a download link with out getting lost page after page after page
When it says that a distro is a live disk, that mean that it can be run as a live disk, not that it must be. There are a few distros which do not have a live disk, so you can't try them before installing.
You still haven't told us anything about your computers! There's not much for 32-bit systems these days, and the crucial thing is RAM.
MX Linux — minimum 512 MB, but 1 GB better.
Antix — minimum 256 MB.
Avoid other suggestions, which are not suitable for beginners.
Go to Google and look it up. Each distro has their own website, so don't ask us to look things up for you.

That is because I do not know
Yes, you DO know, because you've been told at least half dozen times so far.

Right...and that link has much in it. Did you read/understand it?? See the part where it specifically mentions "Windows XP alternatives"? Did you read THAT??

Sugested link where .iso files; they dont work!
Again, saying "they don't work" tells us nothing. You don't even say WHAT ISO file you're talking about.
Again, if you can't be bothered to try to read or understand what you're doing, and can't even be bothered to look for a download link, there is nothing more anyone here can do for you. You ask questions and complain about EVERY ANSWER you get; this is not a help desk. Either show your own efforts, or use something other than Linux, please. Again, you've said you hate it, no one uses it, and you're going to Windows because Linux is so bad. So why don't you do so?
