Hey, sometimes I get a message telling me that "The application 'vino-server' (/usr/lib/vino/vino-server) wants access to the keyring, but it is locked...
and asks me to enter a password
What kind of message is that, and what should I do to unlock the keyring?
And yes, I use vino-server to get remote access to my computer, and yes, I got "Ask for your confirmation" option disabled in the security preferences of the vino server
Keyring is a program that stores your keys/passwords, and when a program asks for a password, your keyring asks you the master password and when given, gives the program asked password for it. So you'll need to type only one password (and not remember the rest of the passwords stored into the keyring), and the keyring manager handles the rest. It's not something the vino server does, but something your system does (like gnome-keyring for example).
You can disable the use of keyring I suppose..it depends on the keyring program itself, but on Gnome for example it's surely in Gnome settings. And in KDE too I suppose.
I searched a lot but i didn't find any option to disable it. I have also installed gnome-keyring-manager but there is no option to retrieve or disable the password. I have forgot the master password and so it is locked. I want to reset my password. Kindly help.
